graphic design: game user interface and user experience design (UI/UX), title or logo design, game boxes, promotional materials and web sites, we create it all.
We're serious about the discipline of graphic design. Graphic design on most game projects is simply made the responsibility of the normal game art team. The problem with this approach is that artists that are masters with environments or characters, animators expert in 2D and 3D, do not necessarily have the very specific training or skill set required to create effective graphic design.
Those we assign to design and fabricate UI/UX, game titles or logos, game boxes, promotional materials and web sites at Mother, are true graphic designers. They have a broad vocabulary, when it comes to fonts and letter forms, are experts with interface, user experience, ergonomics, iconography and information design, in addition to the artist norms of plastic orchestration and color and design. Graphic designers are, in many ways, more like architects than artists: architects of the page or screen.
Did I say we were serious about GD? We're very serious!
